THE GIRL BEHIND THE STORIES

I am a 10-year-old dual language learner (English & Spanish) from the Inland Empire in Southern California. I also enjoy studying Korean for fun!
My family and I travel a lot and go on adventures all around the world. Sometimes we spend time with Indigenous tribes in Central America. Other times, we hike, boat, explore, or camp in the rainforest, climb Mayan ruins, or spend time relaxing at Rasta camps high in the clouds of Blue Mountain in Jamaica.

WHERE NICO BEGAN

"Every story starts somewhere."

Nico's adventure starts as a lost puppy following the mouth-watering scent of hot dogs through the busy city streets.

Through Nico's journey, young readers discover that loneliness, fear, uncertainty, and difficult moments don't have to be the end of the story.

Nico ultimately learns to hold onto hope, and the story reaches a heartwarming ending when the Hot Dog Man and his wife adopt him into their family.
