American Pipe & Vessel provides end-to-end fabrication capabilities, including Technical Support, estimating, custom pipe and pressure vessel fabrication, coating, quality assurance, and project support. Our integrated approach ensures precision, reliability, and compliance with AWWA and ASME standards for every project.
Technical Support
From initial consultation through final delivery, our integrated approach ensures precision, compliance, and on-time execution at every phase.
Fabrication Capabilities
AWWA and ASME-compliant pipe, vessel, and structural fabrication — certified procedures, proven diameters, and custom spool work at industrial scale.
AWWA / ASME Pipe & Vessels
AWWA/ASME compliant pipe fabrication and ASME compliant pressure vessel fabrication for municipal, industrial, and process applications.
ASME Section IX Welding
Certified welding procedures and welders qualified to ASME Section IX for code-compliant joints.
Steel & Stainless Fabrication
Steel and stainless-steel pipe, fittings, and miscellaneous structural fabrication from a single shop.
Large-Diameter Pipe
Steel pipe from 3"–156" NPS proven experience, and stainless-steel pipe from 3"–96" NPS proven experience — including custom wall thicknesses up to 1⅞" steel and 1½" stainless.
Structural Attachments
Structural steel parts and attachments with proven thickness capability up to 4" THK.
Plate Processing
Plate rolling, parts cutting (oxyfuel, plasma, waterjet), and other plate processing in-house.
Complex / Custom Spools
Custom spool fabrication for tight geometries, unique tie-ins, and project-specific routing that standard catalog pipe cannot cover.
Lining, Coating & Corrosion Protection
Surface preparation through multi-layer finishes — specified to AWWA, SSPC, and ASTM standards for long-term service life.
Surface Preparation
Abrasive blasting, hand/power tool cleaning, solvent cleaning, and related methods in accordance with the required SSPC standards.
Cement Mortar Lining & Coating (CML/CMC)
Applied as per AWWA C205 for long-life internal and external protection on water and wastewater systems.
Polyurethane Coatings
Applied as per AWWA C222 for high-build corrosion protection in demanding buried and exposed service.
Liquid Epoxy Coatings
Applied as per AWWA C210, including interior lining for potable and process piping.
Hot Dip Galvanizing
Zinc metallurgical coating for structural steel, fittings, and fabricated assemblies requiring durable outdoor protection.
Pickling & Passivation
Stainless steel treatment in accordance with ASTM A380 and/or ASTM A967 to restore corrosion resistance after fabrication.
Multi-Layered Coating Systems
Specified multi-coat systems combining primers, intermediates, and finish coats for project-specific environments.
Testing & Quality Services
Certified NDT, coating inspection, and documented QC so every weld, lining, and shipment leaves the shop verified.
Non-Destructive Weld Testing
Full NDT suite — RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT — performed to project and code requirements before release.

Coating & Lining Inspection
Inspection and testing of applied coatings and linings to confirm thickness, adhesion, and specification compliance.
Certified Inspectors
In-house CWI and NACE/AMPP II, III certified inspectors for weld and coating quality hold points.
Proof / Load Testing
In-house fabrication proof and load testing, plus coordination with third-party testing service providers when required.
QC Documentation & Compliance
Quality control and compliance to ASME, AWS, and AWWA standards, with complete QC documentation and reports.
Technical Expertise
From shop drawings to sealed calculations and FEA — Technical Support that validates the work before it reaches the floor.
Shop & Layout Drawings
Production-ready shop drawings and layout drawings that translate project specs into buildable fabrication packages.
2D / 3D Drafting & Modeling
Two- and three-dimensional drafting and modeling to clash-check routing, supports, and assembly sequences.
PE Support & Sealed Work
Professional Technical support with sealed calculations and drawings where the project or jurisdiction requires it.
Code-Based Design
Design per AWWA piping standards, ASME pressure vessel codes, and project specifications — not generic catalog geometry.
FEA — Finite Element Analysis
Finite element analysis for complex loading, nozzle stresses, and custom geometries that need more than handbook checks.
Submittal Package
Complete submittal packages covering drawings, calculations, procedures, and supporting documentation for owner review.
